Polygone, Fnac and Galeries Lafayette will join the Grand Bazar from this Wednesday, April 24

The traditional Grand Bazaar for spring 2024 takes place from this Wednesday 24 to Saturday 27 April in Montpellier. New this year: its perimeter is extended to the Polygon… for three days (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). A no-brainer for the shopping mall. The Écusson merchants also seem satisfied.

The Polygone will participate in the Grand Spring Bazaar: a third of its 110 boutiques, including Galeries Lafayette and Fnac, will play the game. The shopping center had already participated in the clearance sale in 2019 without really experiencing great success. New try this year therefore. Internal testimony: since the arrival of the new director, Aurélie Garnier, the Polygone, the city center merchants, the CCI and the town hall have a desire " to go in the same direction".

"That's so much the better"

Participating in this event was "obvious" so for the Polygon. At IKKS for example, Mounir el Atmani, the network manager, announces promotions of up to 60% off. He adds: "I hope that our participation will create a link between downtown merchants and us, at the Polygone". Rue de l’Ancien-Courrier, this other merchant is delighted: that the commercial locomotive of the city center is participating in the Grand Bazaar, "c&rsquo ;is so much the better!"

A shortage of sellers

Fans of the Grand Spring Bazaar, however, be aware that not all participating stores will offer a stall in front of their store. Among the reasons given, problems in managing the staff and a lack of staff. But this shortage of sellers does not only affect the shopping mall. The employee of a store on rue de l’Ancien-Courrier concedes: "We are understaffed. And we're not the only ones.This will not prevent good deals for customers.

A clearance sale, garage sales and musical entertainment

Organisé by the city of Montpellier and the CCI of l’Hérault, the traditional Grand Spring Bazaar will be held from Wednesday 24 to Saturday April 27  (Friday 26 for the Polygone) and will bring together 350 traders.

In addition to the clearance sale, several garage sales will be organized by local associations until Sunday 28. Musical entertainment will also be offered, departing from Saint-Côme, Friday   from 1 p.m. and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 30.

Side Conveniently, the Polygone offers visitors to the clearance sale the opportunity to benefit from thirty minutes of free parking, from Wednesday to Friday. Friday.
