An employee of the liberal Party of Quebec has experienced symptoms of the COVID-19 and will be tested.
The training policy has confirmed this information on Tuesday.
“All steps are being taken and we are in contact with the department of public health for the future,” said a spokesman for the QLP, Frederick Labelle.
The employee in question worked at the parliamentary commission in charge of the study of bill 44 on the green Fund. This commission has been suspended Tuesday, and his works have been postponed until Thursday.
“The Direction of public health was immediately informed of the situation by the national Assembly. A list of the people with whom the person exhibiting symptoms, has been in close contact has been established in order to facilitate the investigation,” said a spokesperson of the national Assembly, Julie Champagne, Tuesday.
“This person has recently participated in the work of the parliament at the national Assembly and we have been informed that it will be a test. As a preventive measure, all members of our team who were able to be in close proximity to this person will also test them as soon as possible,” said the director of communications for the parliamentary wing of the Parti québécois, Mathieu Lavigne.
The prime minister, François Legault, and several ministers were present Monday to the national Assembly for the announcement of a ministerial reshuffle.
