GRENVILLE-SUR-LA-ROUGE | A woman was found unresponsive in the Red river, in the Laurentians, after having been swept away by the current, Sunday afternoon.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), two women attempting to cross the river, to the height of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge, where the current has made them lose balance, to 13h.
The first was able to quickly get out of the water, pulling out with minor injuries.
By contrast, the second has been dredged to approximately 750 metres from the rock where they were.
It was inanimate, and his life was in danger, in the late afternoon.
The possible drowning occurred near the path of the Red River and highway 158, the SQ, which dispatched a team on the spot in order to shed light on the circumstances of the event.
