A man was stabbed, Sunday afternoon, on Jeanne-Mance street near Sherbrooke street, in Montreal, in what could be a drug deal gone bad.
The assault occurred around 15h20.
After a call from the public to 911, the police officers dispatched to the scene located the victim. The man, 48-year-old, had been injured with a weapon at the top of the body, said Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesman for the police Department of the City of Montreal, adding that the man was aware of it.
He was transported to a hospital. We was not afraid for his life.
A suspect, an individual’s 32-years-old, was arrested a few blocks away, is near the corner of University and Milton, in relation to this matter.
“It would seem that it is a transaction of narcotic drugs, which has turned out badly,” said the officer Chèvrefils.
