Product recall: be careful of these biscuits sold throughout France by Intermarché brands

This Wednesday, February 7, 2024, packages of breakfast cakes from the Chabrior brand were the subject of a product recall due to the excessive presence of a substance chemical.
Intermarché brands have recalled biscuits sold throughout France for excessive levels of acrylamide, a chemical substance.

The product concerned is called "Honey and chocolate chip breakfast biscuits 400g" of the Chabrior brand. Its batch number is L523179 and its international item code (GTIN) is 3250392401283.

Marketed from July 4, 2023 to January 26, 2024, the biscuits were sold throughout France by Intermarché stores. Its minimum durability date is set for April 30, 2024.
These biscuits would contain a level of acrylamide, a chemical product, the level of which is higher than the regulatory thresholds.
Do not consume it anymore and return it to the store
This chemical is naturally formed in starchy foods during daily high-temperature cooking processes (frying, baking, roasting…etc.). According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), acrylamide in food potentially increases the risk of developing cancer. for consumers of all age groups.
