Product recall: be careful of these contaminated white beers of the 1664 brand and sold in Occitanie

A pack of white beers from the 1664 brand has been recalled in two regions since Wednesday April 10, 2024.
Beer unfit for consumption. The government site, Rappel Conso, has been recalling packs of white beer from the 1664 brand since Wednesday, April 10.
Two regions concerned
Marketed by the Intermarchés of two regions (Occitanie and Nouvelle-Aquitaine) between April 3 and 10, 2024, the "1664 beers White – PACK of 12 bottles, 25cl only" are contaminated.

The packs affected by this recall bear the batch number L087N**** (regardless of the * visible on the top of the pack and on the bottle). Their minimum durability date is March 31, 2025.
This latest information is visible on the top of the pack in a light blue box.
Abdominal pain and vomiting
A recent check highlighted the presence of ethylene glycol, generally used for the composition of antifreeze.
According to the National Institute for Research and Safety (Inrs), ethylene glycol is a component of refrigerant fluid (coolant for engines , industrial cooling systems, aircraft de-icing, etc.) or is used as a solvent in the paint, printing ink, adhesives and plastics industries.
