MONTREAL – A notice of prohibition of watering shall enter into force as early as Tuesday, until further order, to the residents of the boroughs of Pierrefonds-Roxboro and Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève, as well as those of the cities of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Senneville in the west island of Montreal.
The City of Montreal has explained through a press, water use is approaching the maximum capacity of the drinking water plant in Pierrefonds.
The consumption is powered by watering using hoses, in particular for the washing course, the use of automatic devices watering the lawn and filling swimming pools, stressed the City to explain the prohibition notice.
In addition, repairs are being made at the factory of Pierrefonds. These aim to modernise the plant drinking water, which should find its optimal capacity in the year 2020.
