This Thursday evening, Max Alliès, departmental president, welcomed hunters, supporters and elected officials to the headquarters of the federation, at La Peyrière, in Saint-Jean-de-Védas.
So it was the hunters who got there first. The Departmental Federation and its president Max Alliès presented their wishes for 2024 this Thursday evening.
"Until last year, we did a day of hunting. Now, we organize a ceremony, this allows people who don't hunt to join us, explains Max Alliès.
This Thursday evening, the departmental president covered the topics, including a large part on biodiversity, to which followers of the discipline are very attached, but also security, l’ image of hunting "which is improving thanks to our work and the agreements that we sign with other users of nature"… Or the proliferation of rabbits and wild boars, particularly in urban areas. In 2023, 800 wild boars were killed in the metropolis of Montpellier.
