Quebec grants$ 5 Million for the Véloroute des Bleuets

Québec octroie 5 M$ pour la Véloroute des Bleuets

QUÉBEC | The Quebec government on Friday announced a financial aid of $ 5 million to the MRC of Domaine-du-Roy in order to develop and improve the Véloroute des Bleuets.

The funds from the ministry of municipal Affairs and Housing (MAMH) will be used to work on the development of standards and improvement of the bike path 256 kilometers), which is part of the network of the Route verte in Quebec.

“I’m very happy of this investment for the preservation and development of the bikeways of the Véloroute des Bleuets. All the more that this sport can be practiced by respecting all the rules of the public Health,” said Andrée Laforest, minister of municipal Affairs and Housing and minister responsible for the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.

“The Véloroute is a matter on which we have worked very hard and that will benefit the whole of our beautiful region. This is an excellent example of sustainable project and to the benefit of the economic recovery that has been made possible thanks to the cooperation of the members of our community,” added the minister Laforest.
