Quebec Remparts forward Zachary Bolduc reached the 50-goal mark for the second year in a row on Friday when he scored his team's second goal against the Rimouski Océanic.

Bolduc is the fourth QMJHL player to score at least 50 goals since the start of the campaign. Alexandre Doucet (57) and Jordan Dumais (54), of the Halifax Mooseheads, as well as Alexis Gendron, of the Gatineau Olympiques, were the first three.

Before the Blues prospect, Anthony Duclair was the last representative of the “Red Devils” to have thwarted the goalies opponents on 50 occasions.

Bolduc took advantage of a return from goalkeeper Patrik Hamrla during a power play in the second period to thread the needle against his old team. Previously, its captain Théo Rochette had opened the scoring with a lively shot, with just over 13 minutes to play in the initial engagement. The Remparts ultimately won 4-2

The Remparts were looking for a 52nd victory this season, which would tie the team mark set in 2005-2006, season in which the franchise won the Memorial Cup.

But above all, they could secure first place overall in the QMJHL, by virtue of the Mooseheads' 2-1 loss to the Cape Breton Eagles earlier in the evening.
