Quebec will provide an update on COVID-19 on Wednesday

UPDATE DAY

Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé, will provide an update on the COVID-19 pandemic early Wednesday afternoon.

The Minister will be accompanied by the National Director of Public Health, Luc Boileau.

The last press briefing in which the Minister of Health took part dates back to July 6. Mr. Dubé then reminded Quebecers of the importance of getting their booster shot.

The one from Public Health dates from September 29, when Dr. Boileau announced that Public Health was ruling out the idea of put in place health measures despite the forecast of an increase in cases due to the start of the school year and the autumn cold.

The latest report from the province, published on Tuesday, reports 1,823 Quebecers hospitalized with COVID-19, including 39 in intensive care. However, no new deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours.
