In connection with International Women's Rights Day, the Jules-Raimu high school welcomed 4th and 3rd year girls from different colleges in the Nîmes metropolitan area for the Promotion of Girls' Industrial Careers event, a morning of presentation of industrial training provided within the establishment.
Thus, one hundred schoolgirls, coming from Feuchères, Mont-Duplan, Condorcet, Jules-Verne, Romain-Rolland, Ada-Lovelace, Les Oliviers establishments, were able to discover training in certain professions that they had not necessarily considered for their careers. professional career. In the different workshops, they met happy and fully fulfilled high school girls, each sharing their early experience in the training they are following for one of the professional baccalaureates offered at the high school. The latter are numerous: bodybuilder, automobile painter, vehicle maintenance option A private vehicles, nautical maintenance, equipment maintenance option B TP or MVTR, maintenance of connected production systems, road freight transport driver.
Often arriving with obstacles and preconceived ideas about these professions, the young girls left with new professional perspectives, the best ambassadors being high school students. Several personalities were keen to welcome the initiative of Valérie Kroëss, the headmaster, Christophe Mauny, Dasen du Gard, Henry Brin, regional councilor, Thomas Prouteau, delegate of the prefect for the Pissevin-Valdegour districts, Nathalie Troncet and Ahmed Bouhaba, inspectors of National Education.
