Rallye du pays saint-affricain: mixed fortunes for the Millau crews

Sur Citroën Saxo, Damien et Frédéric Vincent s’adjugent une excellente 5e place au général.

This weekend was the Rallye régional du pays saint-affricain with many Millau crews at the start among the 98 participants. The best performance was put to the credit of the duo Damien and Frédéric Vincent on Citroën Saxo since they finished in an excellent 5th place overall and 1st in the FRC4 R2 class.

Everything went well for the Vincents who were not far from finishing 4th and played in the big league! The other very good performance in Millau is to be put to the credit of the crew Dorian Nivoliez and Marine Marragou in a Peugeot 106 since they finished 13th overall and 1st in a very well-stocked F213 class.

Jean-Michel Alarcon and Marc Pomarède in a Peugeot 208 finished 25th and 1st in the Rally4 class. Steven Chevrier and Marjorie Durand in a Renault Clio finished in a nice 44th place overall and 8th in the Rally5 class. Thierry and Sophie Boyer at the wheel of their Audi TT 180 finished 50th overall, 1st in GT10.

David Bertrand and Julie Bianchetto on Citroën C2 VTS finished 53rd overall and second in class A6K, just a hair's breadth from the class leader! Nicolas Bertrand and Cyril Lafon on Peugeot 106 XSI finished 63rd and 1st in their class A5K. Jean-Luc Biau and David Gardes on Peugeot 206 finished 65th and 4th in class A6K.

Franck and Inès Castelbou were unlucky and were forced to retire from the first special stage due to mechanical failure while they had a very good chance to play in their class, but that's part of the Rally!
