Even before the official announcement of the reopening of the campgrounds in the 1er June, the phone has not stopped ringing since Tuesday at Camping Stoneham.
The Newspaper had met with the owners early in the week. They were eager and ready to welcome campers. A few hours later, the rumour of a re-opening began to circulate, and The Newspaper confirmed on Wednesday.
Since then, the phone calls are multiplied in Stoneham. Only Tuesday, the campsite has registered a sixty reservations online, said Joanne Sainclair, Wednesday.
“This morning, we are here since 7: 30 and it was already one thirty in the line and on the phone. It’s good, it gives energy. We are really happy. We go to bed tired, not by anxiety, but by happiness.”
The owner, who passes the torch this year to his daughter, Camille, is now awaiting the instructions that will come from the government within a few hours. “It is certain that there will be a lot of restrictions. We are expecting a beautiful tray of surprises.”
