Real Madrid wins a 15th Champions League

Après avoir laissé passer l’orage, les Espagnols ont fini par toucher et couler leur adversaire Dortmund (2-0).

Real Madrid won the 15th Champions League in its history by dominating Borussia Dortmund in the final (2-0) on Saturday in London. The Spanish club, which has the record for victories in the most prestigious European competitions, was nevertheless seriously manhandled by its opponent but ended up winning at the end of the match with a headed goal from its defender Dani Carvajal (74th) and another of its main offensive assets, the Brazilian Vinicius Junior (83rd).

The fifth for Ancelotti

This is the 5th European coronation for Carlo Ancelotti, the most successful coach in C1 after his successes in 2003 and 2007 at the head of AC Milan and 2014, 2022 and 2024 with Real Madrid. Champion of Spain for the 36th time in its history, Real, who eliminated defending champion Manchester City in the quarter-finals, thus completes another successful season before welcoming into its squad next week a new star, Kylian Mbappé.

The captain of the Blues will thus complete Real's five-star squad alongside other Madrid stars Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and Vinicius. Borussia, who fell to PSG in the semi-finals and who could have saved their season with a success in the Champions League after only finishing 5th in the Bundesliga, for their part failed to offer themselves a 2nd C1 after his 1997 coronation against Juventus Turin of Zinedine Zidane and Didier Deschamps.
