Renaud “pulls himself together”: the singer's partner, Cerise, gives news of his health
|In an interview with Paris-Normandie on Saturday, September 14, the singer, accompanied by his wife, confided in his state of health.
"He is taking control, he is seeing competent people, he is an actor in his rehabilitation" confided his wife, Christine Marot, also nicknamed Cerise, to Paris-Normandie. The singer's health had been worrying his fans for several months. Particularly following his appearance on stage in February, when the septuagenarian appeared trembling and out of breath alongside singer Vianney.
The singer shows resilience
Everything seems to be going well for Renaud, who has decided to move forward and take charge of his health. Aged 72, he had already announced that he had stopped smoking and drinking alcohol in an interview with Le Parisien in April 2023.
A healthy lifestyle imposed by his Dans mes cordes tour which had then begun. Today, he takes advantage of his stays in Paris to undergo maxillofacial rehabilitation, the result of a stroke he had several years ago. He imposes this recovery on himself for his audience but also for his wife, Cerise, whom he married in May 2024.
And his ambition doesn't stop there. The singer of Mistral Gagnant has announced the release of a new album to mark his 50th career anniversary. In addition to his writing, Renaud is still on stage and should perform several more dates before the end of the year.
