MONTREAL | Be sad “scenes deplorable” that circulate on social networks, a grouping of bars in Quebec implores its members to comply with the sanitary protocols issued by the authorities.
The Association of the bar of Quebec (NABQ) held on Friday to remind those who do not want to go into the rank that the reopening of schools is not a “vested right” to owners of bars, particularly in the context of the current pandemic.
“We will not allow the institutions to the practices women come to undermine all the efforts of the good entrepreneur-e-s who have invested time and money to adapt to the new reality of the bars”, was supported by news the president of the NABQ, Pierre Thibault.
The latter illustrated his remarks by pointing out that two new members who have been caught in the act have been excluded from the body.
Mr. Thibault has asked for an awareness campaign and “a rapid and effective response” of the police to stop the behaviour unacceptable.
“We call for a stronger presence of police forces in Quebec, so that they are involved in the restaurant industry and bars and any other area where inappropriate behaviour are present, in order to impose the fines that they must at any major cases of crime, which endanger the quebec society”, he said.
