This Monday, July 29, will take place for the third consecutive year in Alès, the semi-final of the Miss Languedoc election, this July 29, from 9 p.m. The opportunity for Alésiens to encourage Clara Crouzette, Miss Alès 2024.
"Never two without three"says Raphaële Navarro, the deputy for festivities for the Alès urban area, with a laugh. For the third consecutive year, the capital of the Cévennes will host the semi-final of Miss Languedoc this Monday, July 29, which will take place on the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville, starting at 9 p.m. After two very successful first editions, the city has once again received the trust of the organizing committee to host this event.
“It's an event that people appreciate” admits Raphaële Navarro, “we've never had any negative feedback. It's outdoors, it's accessible to everyone and it's completely free.” The success of previous years gives hope to the organizers. “We obviously hope that there will be people. The fact of organizing this on a Monday evening, a rather quiet day, allows us to have a big event outside of the very lively evenings of Thursday or Friday. Generally this attracts the people of Alès, the tourists but also the people of Gard and even the people of Languedoc who have come to support their miss. It is something very popular”.
No change in the program with the Miss parade which will start the evening around 9 p.m. Before the candidates, the regional Misses will parade on the podium accompanied exceptionally by Lysa Blanc-Nalle, Miss Alès 2023 and second runner-up in the Miss Languedoc competition. “An exception accepted without worries by the committee” admits Raphaële Navarro. The second part of the evening will be hosted by the Miss show. “The dance show will last between 30 and 45 minutes and will be performed by Misses costumed for the occasion. This allows the public to see the Misses from another angle."
"Unfortunately, Miss France will not be able to be there" she tells us,“but Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, already present at Miss Alès 2024, will host the evening. She was very appreciated and super professional, plus she is from Gard so it's great!”
In the end, out of the 20 candidates present, 14 will have the joy and honor of representing their villages on the day of the final in Beaucaire, which will take place on August 2. As for Miss Alès, the event was prepared, reassures Raphaële Navarro: “We didn't let her down after her election in January. We supported her and the fact that she was present at many festivities allowed her to become familiar with the public. She was able to make her mark as a Miss." So there is a lot of hope carried by the young Sainte-Privadoise, Clara Crouzette.
For next year, "nothing is certain" admits the assistant."The committee will perhaps eliminate the semi-final, but nothing is official yet. We applied for the final because we think we have what it takes to host this type of festivities. We have had time to get used to organizing Miss Alès for several years and hosting the semi-finals three times. It would be a fair reward for the city.”
