L’assemblée générale de l’association unissant 54 entreprises du nucléaire représentant 3 900 salariés dans quatre départements s’est tenue en fin de semaine à l’Office des entreprises de Bagnols-sur-Cèze.

The general assembly of Cyclium South Mediterranean nuclear industry bringing together 54 nuclear companies from Gard, Vaucluse, Drôme and Bouches-du-Rhône, representing 3  900 employees, was held Thursday evening at the Bagnols-sur-Cèze Business Office, in the presence of around fifty people (members, representatives of institutions and the economic world ). It has four new members, Bilfinger, Icare-ATM, Eiffage (civil engineering) and I&S Nucléaire.
President for a year, Yann Hiltcher (manager of Artelia Industrie, based in Pierrelatte) indicated in the preamble: "We are discussing with nuclear operators to find out what the ;we can give them what they expect from us… Four working groups meet several times a year." Example with the radiation protection club which brings together around fifteen companies."We look at regulations and their applications, another group works on the evolution of standards." Among its activities, Cyclium has participated in& ;nbsp;Taf job fairs in Nîmes and Alès, the nuclear forum in Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux (it will take place in Bagnols next year), contributed to the RJE ( Young business meetings) to "make young people understand that the industry is starting up again with super interesting jobs". Cyclium also participates in the Cli de Marcoule and the Cleeget de Tricastin. 2024 objectives: "Create synergies on d& ;rsquo;other themes, with the University of Nuclear Professions for example […]. We will be present at the POP show", the second edition of which will take place on September 26 at the Laudun forum,"with a highlight on recruitment in the afternoon". The network was also activated to help young people in Secondary School who had to do an internship.

Letters to support the SMR project

During this AGM, there was also talk of an action to support the SMR project. "The mail is ready to be proposed for co-signature to your entities, indicated Laurent Savary, for the Agglo du Gard rhodanien. That as many companies as possible commit to this signature, so that the next community council can make a motion in favor of the SMR." Yann Hiltcher specified that the association also offered to write to the four agglomeration presidents, and to the presidents of the departments concerned.

At the end of the session, Eric Giraudier, president of the CCI, explained: "The law prohibits us from giving subsidies, but for the & rsquo;support for business development, we’re here. We support actions, we must be asked." On the sidelines of the AGM, Julien Feja, vice-president, explains: "The companies of the Southern Rhône Valley, we live on our achievements, those of a time when nuclear power was in vogue. We don't have any big plans: a little in Tricastin; in Bagnols, much less. If we do not come together to show the will of the companies that we want to continue working here, to make ourselves heard for future projects, we have fears for the attractiveness , hiring, retaining our employees. Working groups allow us to help each other, to remain efficient, to know how to respond to new standards, how to respond to developments, to remain efficient."

"Sharing common issues and moving forward together", concludes the president. A new working group, on CSR, will be formed. "When we look at the standard, there are 900 points… it’s complex !"
