Roberge authorizes the revocation of Simon Lamarre's patent

MISE & Agrave; DAY

The Minister of Education, Jean-François Roberge, authorized the revocation of the license of Simon Lamarre, this elementary teacher and lecturer at the university who filmed under the skirts of teenagers and young women. & nbsp;

“Mr. Simon Lamarre was convicted of the criminal offense of voyeurism. The nature and gravity of the offense are irreconcilable with the teaching profession. I thus authorized, on the recommendation of my department, the revocation of Mr. Lamarre's patent, “wrote Minister Roberge on Twitter on Tuesday.

Recall that Simon Lamarre pleaded guilty to a voyeurism charge in mid-July at the Montré courthouse for crimes committed between 2017 and 2020.

The former teacher however got away without a criminal record and obtained clemency from judge Jean-Jacques Gagné, Monday at the Montreal courthouse. “It is not in the public interest to neutralize the knowledge of the accused and to deprive oneself of fifteen years of study and university work,” said the judge to justify his decision./p>
