The Serbian beat the Argentinian Cerundolo in five sets (6-1, 5-7, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3), Monday June 3. 

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, long hampered by a painful knee, found the resources to reach the quarter-finals of Roland-Garros on Monday, by overthrowing 6-1, 5-7, 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 the Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo (27th) after 4 hours and 39 minutes of play.

The Serbian, defending champion who is aiming for a 25th Grand Slam title in Paris, had already passed 4:29 in the night from Saturday to Sunday to dismiss in the previous round, also in five sets, the Italian Lorenzo Musetti. His next opponent will be the Norwegian Casper Ruud (7th) or the American Taylor Fritz (12th).
