This distinction is awarded to the player most useful to his team.
The Honduran succeeds Orji Okwonkwo, who received this honor in 2019.
During the Impact’s last campaign, Quioto was the Montreal eleven’s top scorer and assist, he who scored eight successes and provided six assists in 19 games. The 29-year-old also found the back of the net in his club’s only playoff game.
Quioto has been a member of the Bleu-Blanc-Noir since November 20, 2019. He was obtained from the Houston Dynamo in return for defenseman Victor Cabrera and a general allowance amount of $ 100,000.
The Belle Province team also named defender Luis Binks as defensive player of the year. The Englishman has played 21 games this season, including 20 as a starter.
“I don’t think there are really any surprises in the choices of these two players for the club’s individual honors in 2020,” said Impact sporting director Olivier Renard in a press release from his organization. I would like to congratulate these two players who have brought a lot to the squad and achieved great things throughout the season. I hope they can continue to do as well and even better in the future to help this team perform and achieve their goals. ”
