The popular bar Chez Roger, in the district of Rosemont in Montréal, will ultimately be open and should welcome clients towards the end of the summer if the work is going as planned.
In April, this institution announced that it was closing its doors permanently, much to the chagrin of its fans. The bar Chez Roger is known to have hosted a number of film sets over the years, which, until recently, the issuing of Radio-Canada, “The night is still young”.
Since then, the owner of the bistro Chez Roger, who is stuck on the bar of the same name, has decided to embark on the adventure, and resume the place of the former owner Normand Guérin. Loïc Gauthier and his partner Maxime Lalonde have managed to agree with the owner of the building located on rue Beaubien, where the bar will continue to animate.
There are only a few minor works to be done as well as”a stroke of the brush” to give before an official opening date to be announced.
“There’s a good chance that the terrace will be installed soon” was even confirmed by Mr. Gauthier.
Lovers of the place will be pleased to learn that the formula will not change : the two partners have acquired the name of the bar and want to keep up with the spirit and vocation.
