Millau hosted Grenoble for the first day of the championship this Sunday (26-15).

It is difficult to draw conclusions after a first match in wet conditions. The Millavoises will remember the victory of this first match at home against Grenoble, a team that they largely dominated last season during their two clashes.

The players of the Andreani-Troncy duo, new to the team, nevertheless started the match well. They imposed their rhythm and found solutions against Grenoble's permeable defense. At half-time, they were already leading 19-5.

A second half dominated by Grenoble

The physiognomy of the second period was not the same. A few dropped balls, classic approximations of the beginning of the season left the Iséroises in the match. The Millavoises spent more time in their half of the field than in that of their opponents of the day. Even so, they maintained their lead and won 26-15. Their next meeting will be in Nice on October 13 (3 p.m.).
