Béziers largely won at home against a revamped Aurillac (54-14), Friday January 5 during the 15th day of Pro D2, to climb to second place in the championship.

The year has therefore started ideally for the ASBH. Thanks to its great success against Aurillac, Friday evening in a rather packed Raoul-Barrière, Béziers is now second in Pro D2, five points behind RC Vannes. 

Pierre Caillet's men actually took advantage of Provence Rugby's misstep in Grenoble on Thursday evening (45-10) to overtake them in the standings with this fifth consecutive victory.

Friday evening, the Biterrois were already leading 21-7 at half-time with a try from Plazy and two from Costa Storti and despite Espeut's yellow card just before half-time -time.

On returning from the locker room, the Héraultais did not stop there and ensured an offensive bonus with two other goals from Costa Storti, who offered himself a quadrupled, and others from Marques, Lorre and Pauta. 

Béziers is thus launching the year in the best possible way while a trip to Colomiers awaits next week before the crucial receptions in Provence then Agen.
