Millau currently ranks second in its group in Fédérale 1 and intends to remain at the top of the table.

Sunday at the Parc des Sports, the women of SOM rugby had no trouble breaking away from Gaillac. The Millavoises dominated the Tarnaises (27-12) and can now  look towards Nice, the next opponent who will face them at the Parc des Sports (February 25).

Sunday's victory with the bonus consolidated the second place of the Millavoises in the ranking. "We want to stay in the first two, this will allow us to receive the eighth from the other group which is very tough, notes the captain of the team, Alexandrine Vaylet. They are currently ahead of Narbonne, which has three more points and against whom the Millavoises lost last week at the Parc des Sports (10-12).

"It's going to be played out in a pocket handkerchief"

The people of South Aveyron know it, Nice is also a big piece. "We know that it will be played out in a pocket handkerchief,&amp ;nbsp;recognizes the captain. We therefore take it as a final phase match." In the first leg, the protégés of the Costes-Andreani duo lost on the Côte-d& ;#39;Azur (20-7), during the second day. "We had quite a few injured people and new arrivals, < /em>explains Vaylet. We have a revenge to take, we weren't too organized, we didn't have many rotations.. ."

Factors ruled out today, even if some players are behind the handrail because of their injuries. "We have girls who arrived from other clubs and cadets who moved up, develops the captain. These are now players who we count on as starters, it makes a nice mix."

And to seek victory against the Maralpines (4th, six points behind Millau) the captain knows that she will have no trouble finding the words to find seriousness and the involvement of her teammates. "All are aware of the importance of this match. We will do everything to prepare as best as possible for the match, even if it falls during the school holidays." A victory on February 25 could allow them to stay in contact with Narbonne, where the Millavoises will go to the end of the regular phase, on April 28.
