Rugby Union: It’s time for Sète rugby players to sound the revolt

Les Sétois doivent maintenant débloquer leur compteur. MIDI LIBRE – Jérôme Belluire

RC Sète welcomes L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue this Sunday, September 29 at 3 p.m. at the Georges-Bayrou stadium.

There is no danger yet, even if the season has just started in the worst possible way for the Sète team, with two defeats in as many games. The first setback (12-19) was problematic. It was at home, against a Vendres team that was very happy to have the red carpet rolled out for them. Lack of physical freshness, numerous handling errors, poor touchlines… The late blow at the end of the match was as disappointing as the result.

A poor record

Then, last Sunday on the Corbières pitch, RC Sète got back on track, beaten 6-18. However, the time for anger was over on the staff side, who preferred to remember the progress shown by the team. The occupation on the foot was better, the fighting ability also.
This will be necessary this Sunday at home, when Boxeland Club L'Islois comes. An opponent fourth in the ranking, who won 30-23 against SMUC, before losing to Mourillon by a narrow score of 35-32.

RC Sète, if the progress noted last Sunday is real, will therefore have to confirm it. And finally find the way to the end zone. With 18 points and no tries scored in two games, the team is currently last without anyone being able to cry scandal.
