OTTAWA | Canada will suspend its extradition treaty with Hong Kong, as well as its exports of military equipment “sensitive” in response to the imposition by the central chinese of a controversial law on national security, announced Friday that the prime minister Justin Trudeau.

“Canada strongly believes in the principle of one country-two systems” designed to ensure that Hong Kong’s freedoms unknown elsewhere in China, said Mr. Trudeau at a press briefing.
