SAINT-BRUNO-DE-MONTARVILLE | A man and a woman were arrested for having kidnapped an acquaintance, Thursday afternoon, in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, on the South Shore.
The police Service of the urban agglomeration of Longueuil (SPAL) has indicated on its page Facebook to have been called to take place towards 15 p.m. at a residence in the rue Thérèse-Casgrain, in the heart of a residential area.
After about an hour of trading, the 42-year-old and the 25-year old woman went to the police.
The man is known to police, has been provided.
Upon entering the residence, officers found the victim, a 40 year old man who was an acquaintance of the two arrested individuals.
Seriously injured, he was taken to the hospital, but his life is not in danger, one can read in the published message in the evening by the SPAL.
The investigation is ongoing to shed light on the circumstances of this event.
As for the two suspects, they are expected to appear Friday. They could be charged with forcible confinement, uttering threats of death and assault, has added the SPAL.
