SAINT-ÉLIE-DE-CAXTON – The tourist season 2020 in Saint-Élie-de-Caxton promises to be complex. The context of the pandemic and the end of the collaboration with storyteller Fred Pellerin to add their own set of challenges.

How to take advantage of that
The administration tries to turn a tourist and cultural destination for the new tourist season. From the 18 July, the tourist office will offer a historical tour on foot with audio-guide, or horse-drawn carriage with sound, to discover the past of the village. This new attraction has cost about$ 40,000, divided equally between Quebec and the municipality.
Traders record losses in their sales figures. At the shop of the Pilgrims, the manager recognizes to sell a third of what it was selling at the same time in other years. The absence of international tourists plays a lot in the sales of cafes and restaurants in the village.
