SAINTE-MARTHE-SUR-LE-LAC | Three people were injured Saturday night in the collapse of a balcony in Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, in the Laurentians.
According to the fire Department inter-municipal deux-Montagnes/Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac, three people were injured slightly. One of the three people has had a broken ankle, another is a pregnant woman who was rushed to the hospital to check her condition, while the third did not wish to be treated.
“This is a one-storey building with a balcony on the side. It is not fixed to the building has caved in, causing the ten people on the balcony”, told QMI Agency the director of the fire service, Norbert Vendette, adding that the firefighters have secured the balcony before leaving the premises.
“This event was a follow-up to a party at the owner’s where about fifty people were present,” pointed out the director Vendette.
Agents of the Régie de police of the Lake of Two Mountains, and the paramedics were also made during this event.
