Salagou en scène unveils a program without borders

The elected officials of Clermontais and Eric Suzanne, sub-prefect of Lodève, spoke. -J.M.

The program for the 6th edition of the festival was presented this Thursday evening at the Ô Mille vins restaurant, in Saint-Félix-de-Lodez. The programming opens up to world music and soul. Meet on June 28 and 29, on the banks of the lake, near the Clermont pontoon.

A quick look at the 2024 programming of "Salagou on stage" highlights a natural turn. Because after changing its name last year, the former Salagou en song, turns the page on the only French song and completes its metamorphosis by opening its doors, also, to world music. A logical continuation for Alexandra Boccadifuoco, president of the festival, for whom "our sponsor, from now on, is the lake". The superb setting of Salagou therefore imposes its mark by broadening musical horizons to world music, the idea, at the edge of the lake , is to present music without borders", she said this Thursday evening, in Saint-Felix.

Rooting roots in Salagou

It must be said that the summer meeting, which has gradually moved from Liausson, to the Estagnol stadium, in Clermont, now seems to have to move on. #39;root on the site, even the Grand Site, which further increases its aura… and its attractiveness. Last year, for its first edition on the banks, the Salagou effect made it possible to almost double attendance, thus consolidating its financial base and a sustained sustainability of ;a host of partners, institutional and private.

On the programming side, without turning its back on French song, “the majority of the stages are French-speaking”, the 6th edition of the festival, as Clermontais as it is eco-responsible, displays two beautiful and long evenings, at the beginning of summer, on June 28 and 29.  Saturday 28, "Orage", will open the "hostilities, with its elegant and modern rock, followed by Yves Jamait , "this poet with his words, his songs, to (re)discover absolutely". Wepa Wepa and his joyful pop will light up the sunset before giving way to the very groovy Buttsharkers, and their raw soul, led on stage by American singer Ciara Thompson, prog favorite of the festival (and Midi Libre!) . Sunday,  the festive Java of Sophie les bas bleus will kick off the evening. Followed by the superb Dance Hall from Reunion Island's Sika R'Lion, and from Montpellier's Timba Latina Eletumba'o. At the end, the steely Sergeant Garcia should finish setting the evening on fire. " Sergent Garcia, sings in French, but also in Spanish. He is someone who comes close to our values because he carries committed messages: love, social justice and freedom, we are delighted to welcome him, signs Alexandra Boccadifuoco .
