L’alerte de niveau 1 mise en place il y a deux semaines en raison d’une trop forte concentration de cyanobactéries au Salagou a été levée ce mardi 27 août.

The lights are finally green in Salagou. The level 1 alert has been lifted, it was confirmed on Tuesday, August 27, on the side of the Grand Site Salagou-Mourèze and the town hall of Clermont while the concentration of chlorophyll A-cyanobacteria has fallen back below the alert threshold. The return to normal had been expected for 15 days already. Not only by users and visitors to the lake but also, of course, by local tourism stakeholders who will have had a decidedly complicated summer.

The green flag is flying again over Lake Salagou

According to our information, the staff of the Department, owner of the site, are in the process of removing the signs urging caution, avoiding swimming, and in particular, keeping dogs away from the banks of the lake. And if, this Tuesday morning, the red flag was still flying on the beach of Clermont, the mayor of the city, Gérard Bessière has just signed the reopening order and the flag has just been hoisted on the pontoon of Clermont.

On the opposite bank, in Celles, the first magistrate of the village, Joëlle Goudal should, if she has not already done so, take a similar order.
