American Dana Atkinson (Dana Atkinson) lived for many years in Africa, and even wrote three books. Recently, she once again visited the Kruger national Park in South Africa and one of its sites saw a couple of cars. People taking pictures of a group of tourists lionesses, and Dana stopped nearby.
The picture has not changed; tourists, making pictures, went, but Dana remained – experience told her that something could happen. While six Cougar continued to sleep, one lioness was alert: she sat up and carefully looked around. This allowed her time to notice walking near the house (lat. Phacochoerus africanus) African representative of the genus of pigs.
At the signal “guard” one by one lioness woke up and began to catch 70-pound prey. Realizing that he was in danger, the warthog changed leisurely walk on a rapid run. Dana was rooting for him, commenting on the survey with the words “Run! Run!”. He did it, and the lionesses were left with nothing.
The lion is capable of speeds up to 80 km/h, while the limit for the warthog – 48 km/h. Probably only awakened the lioness is still not completely back to form and have failed to contribute during the chase. Let’s see how is hunting lions on the hyenas.
