Schitt's Creek star Annie Murphy visits Montreal to support Green Party candidate

Known for her role as Alexis Rose in the series Schitt's Creek, Annie Murphy braved the Montreal heat wave to lend a hand to Jonathan Pedneault, Deputy Leader of the Green Party.
The 36-year-old actress distributed leaflets with the young politician at the Villa-Maria metro station in the late afternoon.
It was a bit of a homecoming for the Ottawa-born actress. Annie Murphy has indeed resided in Montreal for a few years, the time to complete a bachelor's degree in theater at Concordia University.
She was back in the city yesterday with her husband, musician Menno Versteeg . He also put his shoulder to the wheel to support Jonathan Pedneault, candidate in the upcoming by-election in the riding of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce–Westmount.
Since The series Schitt's Creek ended in 2020, Annie Murphy landed roles in the hit series Russian Doll and Kevin Can F**k Himself.< /em>She will also be seen in the sixth season of the television phenomenon Black Mirror, due out on Netflix this month.
