Sean McVay ponders his future

Sean McVay reflects on his future

À DAY

Head Coach Sean McVay wants to keep practicing his craft, but he's unsure if he wants to continue as the Los Angeles Rams' driver.

That's what he explained to the media on Monday, the day after his team's last game this season.

“[I will] take the next few days to really be able to to reflect, to have important discussions that will dictate and determine the decision that is best for me and my family,” he said.

McVay added that he wanted to “take appropriate time” to make a decision about his future, but also said he “didn't feel like” he was done with coaching at all.

After having won the Super Bowl in 2021, the Rams had a disastrous season in 2022. The California team went 5-12. It also saw many of his stalwarts, including Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp, fall in battle during the campaign.

Since joining the Rams and becoming the most head coach in NFL history in 2017, McVay went 60-38. The 36-year-old has a valid contract until the conclusion of the 2026 season.
