See: This soccer player cut by an object thrown by fans

UPDATE DAY

Fiorentina player Cristiano Biraghi was cut in the head by a cup thrown by a supporter during Wednesday's Europa League Conference final clash with West Ham in Prague.

The match, won 2-1 by the English club, was interrupted for long minutes around the half-hour mark. The Italian defender was preparing to take a corner kick when he was hit at the back head through the plastic object.

The athlete was bleeding profusely, but was treated directly on the pitch and play resumed after an appeal for calm was made in the stadium.

Also, there were several tense moments between fans of both teams during the day in the Czech city. Three people were also slightly injured in a fight that took place in a bar in the municipality. Czech police have announced that they have arrested 16 individuals.
