The port of Sète has obtained funding to carry out projects to digitize its infrastructure.

The port of Palavas hosted the award ceremony for the call for projects for the Digital Transition of marinas on Thursday, September 12.

This call for projects for the digital transition of marinas is unique in France. It is supported by the Union of Port Cities of Occitanie and motivated by the desire to engage the pleasure boating sector in the challenges of the future and, in this, in the digital transition.

Carrying out infrastructure digitalization projects

The state and the Occitanie region co-financed this call for projects for an amount of 2 million euros, rewarding 13 projects between 2023 and 2024.

For this second session, five winners were awarded: the port of Banyuls, the port of Sète, the port of Port-la-Nouvelle, Port-Leucate, as well as the port of Palavas-les-Flots. They each obtain funding to carry out infrastructure digitalization projects, the implementation of fluid management applications with a view to saving energy and water, or intended for pleasure boaters.
