“I moved to Barcelona to offer stability to my children, the same that we seek now in another corner of the world, alongside my family, my friends and the sea,” Shakira said in Spanish, captioning a panoramic photo. from Barcelona. “Today we begin a new chapter in search of their happiness.”

The Colombian singer resided in Barcelona with Gerard Pique during the eleven years of their relationship. They have two children together: Sasha, 8, and Milan, 10.

“Thank you to everyone who surfed the waves with me in Barcelona, ​​the city where I learned that the friendship lasts longer than love. Thank you to everyone who has helped me, who has dried my tears, who has inspired me and made me grow,” she continued in her post.

Although Shakira did not specify where she and her children were settling down, she may well be planning to live in Miami, Florida.
