Seattle Kraken's new up-and-coming center Shane Wright assured he didn't glare at the Montreal Canadiens table when he was drafted fourth overall at the Bell Centre.
Wright denied this hypothesis shared by several Internet users in an interview on the Sportsnet network on Sunday.
“Not at all. I was just looking at the cameras in front of me, he justified. To be honest, I don't really remember when I got on stage. I wasn't trying to stare at anyone, even if that's what is reflected in the video.”
The forward who played with the Kingston Frontenacs last season said after the draft that he was going to keep a “little grudge” against the Habs, since he had long imagined himself in the blue-white-red uniform.
Remember that the CH finally threw his devolved on Slovak winger Juraj Slafkovsky with the first overall pick in the draft last Thursday.
