Shannen Doherty suffering from cancer: what is the news on the state of health of the American actress ?

Alors qu'elle se bat depuis plusieurs années contre un cancer, la célèbre actrice Shannen Doherty a donné des nouvelles de son état de santé.

Shannen Doherty, known for her roles in the series "Charmed", "Little House on the Prairie" or  "Beverly Hills 90210" has been fighting cancer for several years. This Monday, January 29, the American actress gave rather reassuring news about her state of health in an episode of her podcast Let's Be Clear.

"A miracle"

If since 2015 Shannen Doherty began a real fight against the disease which spread throughout her body, particularly to the brain and bones, the latter wanted more reassuring, to the delight of her fans.

"After the sixth or seventh treatment, we actually noticed that the blood-brain barrier was destroyed", she declared in this podcast, quoted by the Belgian media RTL info. In other words, this means that the protocol the actress follows seems to be working. At the medical level, this translates into isolation between the central nervous system and the blood circulation.

"Do I call that a miracle ? To me it feels like a miracle. Every day is a gift, and there are so many new things in the pipeline that I think there is always hope", she continued, rejoicing . 

Although the illness has had a major impact on her life, Shannen Doherty wants to be optimistic and only stay positive. "I may die today, I may die in 20 years, I don't know. I can die when I leave my house and a tree falls on me or a bus hits me, it doesn't matter. Or I could die of cancer. But all I can do is live each day as positively as possible., said the Charmed actress, quoted by 7 of 7.

His last wishes

On January 15, the actress star of the series "Charmed", suffering from stage 4 cancer, spoke about her recent wills in the podcast Let's be clear with Shannen Doherty, published on YouTube.

She explains that she wants to be cremated. "I want to be mixed with my dog ​​and my father", she explained, specifying that she had not still decided regarding where she wanted his ashes to rest. The latter also explained that she had prepared her funeral but at a special request. "The fewer people there are, the better", she sums up.
