Heavy resources deployed
15 firefighters have been mobilised, with operation commander Mohd Riduan Akhbar saying a search operation was underway as the tourist remained unaccounted for. "The Special Tactical Operation and Rescue Team Malaysia (STORM) and the K9 unit are on the scene,", he said.
Commissioner The local police deputy added that 90 personnel from various other agencies were also involved in the operation. As the search resumed on Tuesday, August 27, the victim's family was granted visa extensions and taken into care by the Indian embassy, Le Figaro reports.
