This Thursday, October 3, around 2:30 p.m., Léonie Jaurion, from Creissan, near Béziers, feels that she is about to give birth. She quickly leaves with her mother by car to the Champeau clinic.

The future mother tells her adventure: “I felt the baby coming. On the way, I understood that I wouldn't make it. We stopped on the ring road, at the big Fernand-Arcas roundabout, the one by the prison, where there is work going on. And we called the firefighters. They arrived very quickly, as did the Smur. His doctor put me in the fire truck and, with the help of a nurse, he took care of me. I was already dilated to 10, I had contractions, severe pain, but it was impossible to give birth with an epidural.“

A quarter of an hour later, little Léni Maestre came into the world: 3.2 kg for 51 cm! A beautiful baby who was rushed to the Champeau clinic with his mother for the various necessary treatments. Léonie Jaurion and her little angel left on Sunday, October 7, in great shape. “This is my second child. I would like to thank the doctor and the nurse, as well as the firefighters. They were great with me."
