A 29-year-old woman fraudulently attended a US high school for four days, before being arrested last week.
Parents of students at New Brunswick High School in New Jersey are concerned about the intentions of the woman, Hyejeong Shin.
Some students fear she may have gone undercover to lure and then recruit them for purposes of sexual exploitation.
A student allegedly received a text message from the woman at 10:56 p.m. on January 23, just days after her arrest, New Brunswick Today.
“I was in class with this woman, I talked to her, I accompanied her from point A to point B, I never thought this kind of thing could happen,” she told the media. local.
The 29-year-old woman allegedly enrolled at New Brunswick High School in New Jersey using false documents, according to NBC News.
During her time in school as a student, Ms. Shin reportedly spent a lot of time with guidance counselors, school officials said.
These counselors allegedly tried to find out more about her.
School staff eventually exposed the subterfuge.
Ms Shin is now accused of using a fake birth certificate 'in an effort to enroll as a child in the school
Authorities don't know how many genuine students have been in contact with her, but the school administration urges them to avoid contact with Hyejeong Shin.
