She lives the horror for a whole night: she is raped and held captive in a squat by a man she met on the Internet

A young woman was held captive in an apartment squatted by an undocumented immigrant in the northern districts of Marseille, before being raped on the night of Saturday 27 to Sunday 28 July 2024.

This young woman had to live through a real ordeal in the northern districts of Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône). She was held captive by a man all night last weekend, as reported by our colleagues at Figaro.

The events took place in a former student residence in the 14th arrondissement of the Cité Phocéenne. After meeting her online, the victim followed the attacker to his home before he kidnapped and raped her.

A complaint was filed

It was only the next day that the victim managed to put an end to this nightmarish night. The events were immediately reported to the police. “He forced her to come with him before blocking her in the apartment. As soon as she was able to escape, she went to file a complaint with the police", as indicated by a police source from Figaro.

The police went to the scene. They had to break down the main door of the apartment, blocked by squatters, without finding the attacker.

Since 2019, no fewer than fifty apartments in the residence have been squatted by several dozen undocumented immigrants.
