She orders an Uber for thirty kilometers and finds herself stuck for hours on the highway because of the cold

The night of Monday 8 to Tuesday 9 January 2024 was marked by cold, particularly in the Paris region. Many motorists found themselves stuck on the A13 with their vehicles.

The start of 2024 is marked by a cold wave affecting France. During the night from Monday to Tuesday, many people wanted to take the roads with their vehicles, but the snow and ice surprised more than one. This is the case of Lou who ordered a trip with a VTC and found himself on the highway for almost four hours, reports France Bleu.

The journey began when the young woman wanted to go to Poissy from the 15th arrondissement of the capital shortly after midnight. The race represents around thirty kilometers and should last a little less than forty minutes in principle. The latter orders an Uber but once she gets in, things quickly get complicated.

The driver and his client take the A13 motorway, but find themselves trapped and have to endure the very cold weather. They can only see the multiple accidents on the road.   "People have abandoned their vehicles and their two-wheelers on the side of the road," explains Lou to our colleagues from < em>France Blue.

The one who wanted to reach Poissy explains that she found herself faced with a chaotic situation with the heavy goods vehicles parked on the shoulder, the road had transformed into a real ice rink , but it was the temperature that stood out. "There we were at -6 °C", she explains.

Although the police had indicated that salting was in progress, the VTC lane was not. Lou was able to reach his destination at 4:22 a.m., or 3:32 hours after departure.
