Snowfall in the A75 sector: a second heavy goods vehicle storage area opened near Lodève Sud

The police have been mobilized since Wednesday January 10 in the evening, for the storage of heavy goods vehicles on the A75. – GENDARMERIE DE L'HERAULT

As part of traffic restrictions on the A75 motorway, due to snowfall, the Hérault prefecture announces that a second storage zone for heavy goods vehicles over 7 .5 tonnes was opened between Le Bosc and Lodève Sud, in the south-north direction.  

Following snowfall in the A75 motorway sector, heavy goods vehicle traffic has been restricted since Wednesday January 10 in the evening, particularly in the Lodève sector. The gendarmes are heavily mobilized to organize the storage of trucks, as part of the "snow plan".

This Thursday, January 11, in addition to the measures already taken, the Hérault prefecture announces the opening of a second weight storage area heavy vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tonnes on the A75, in the south-north direction, between interchanges 54 (Le Bosc) and 53 (Lodève south). The other storage area is located between exchangers 51 and 52.

Improvement expected by mid-afternoon

State services specify that an improvement in weather conditions is expected in the middle of the afternoon in the A75 sector.

This Thursday morning, Sdis 34 (Departmental Fire and Rescue Service) reported difficult traffic conditions in the Escandorgue sector, between Lodève and Le Caylar , with snowfall in progress.  

Departmental roads 902, between Lodève and Les Plans, and 144, between Rabieux and Saint-Privat, were notably being treated. Departmental road 35, between Lodève and Lunas, remained open to traffic.
