Risk management: mayors are working
#LOZERE – This Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Mende, the mayors, deputies, and councilors of the Lozère local authorities will hold their 4th trade fair, with stands dedicated to risk management. It will provide an opportunity to exchange, compare experiences, and also discover innovations in order to better protect territories against, for example, climatic hazards. A round table will take place with the theme: The mayor, primarily responsible for protecting the citizen. “A survey showed that 30% of mayors expressed fed up”, commented the mayor of Mende Laurent Suau. With 152 communes in the department, Alain Astruc, president of the Mayors of France in Lozère, explains: “Elected officials are asking us. The National Opera Orchestra is looking for patrons
#MONTPELLIER – The OONM, the Montpellier National Opera Orchestra, is launching an original patronage campaign aimed at businesses, entitled 1,000 voices: businesses that speak out for the OONM. This initiative aims to raise funds to supplement the institution's budget. “Costs are constantly increasing. Culture must become independent of subsidies”, explains Vincent Bobé, the secretary general. The idea germinated in the minds of the presidents of the OONM, Bernard Serrou, and of the CCI André Deljarry. The calculation is simple: 1,000 companies at 1,000 euros, that's 1 million euros. Mr. Serrou hopes to see a balanced budget in 2026. The mobilization is launched.
