The government wants to encourage daycare centers to increase their staff by 150 euros net per month, announced this Tuesday, March 5, the Minister of Labor Catherine Vautrin, and the Minister Delegate in charge of Children Sarah El Haïry.

As revealed by our colleagues from World, this increase, which concerns all staff in contact with children, and nursery managers, i.e. around 150,000 people, will be 66% financed by the family branch of Social Security.

The government thus intends "to reaffirm its desire to improve the provision of early childhood care&quot ;, and act "on the attractiveness of professions", underlines the press release from the ministries concerned .

An increase two-thirds covered by the Cnaf

"We are opening the possibility for employers to increase salaries by 150 euros net monthly and the State encourages them to do so by taking charge, through the National Family Allowance Fund" two-thirds of this increase, it is specified in the entourage of the Minister of ;rsquo;childhood. This support provision will be effective after your approval by the Cnaf Board of Directors.

The main branch of the early childhood sector, Alisfa, has already implemented salary increases since the start of the year. Some 40 to 45% of early childhood staff already benefit from such an increase.

The other branches of the sector should follow by the end of 2024, after social negotiations, and the communities, after deliberation by municipal councils, indicates the Ministry of Families.
