Soon new equipment for the market on Place de la Comédie in Montpellier… and reduced stands

The marquees will be changed on September 17th.

On Tuesday, September 17th, the market on Place de la Comédie will be getting a makeover. The stallholders will be given their brand new marquees, the tents under which they display their goods.

Between €2,400 and €2,500

New equipment, which will look similar to the old one, which costs between €2,400 and €2,500 including tax. The merchants are invited to return the old structure with this precision: “If the exchange does not take place, there will be no authorization to unpack at the Comédie.” Forcing the 18 professionals concerned to change their equipment, a question of aesthetics and renewal.

Another new feature, and which actually justifies this new equipment: the locations of each of the stalls are reduced, going from 5.80 m in length to 4.20 m, which has required long months of negotiations between the merchants and the municipal services concerned.
